7th grade make up points DUE JANUARY 29th, 2014


Dear 7th graders,

Here is an opportunity for you to make up 5 point in the test. I recommend you read the following instructions carefully.

Your work must have all of the following to achieve the extra points:
1. Complete heading: Date, subject, name, grade.
2. On a paper from your binder - NOT from your notebook, white paper, blue paper, any other type of paper.
3. You MUST copy all of the instructions - DO NOT COPY AND PRINT
4. Solved with pencil (you may copy the instructions with pen if you would like.
5. To underline use ONLY blue.

Exercises:

1. What is 74% of 158?

2. A video store rented 297 videos. The customers returned 19% of the videos late. How many videos were returned late?

3. Dion is saving for a coat that costs $59.95. She has saved 45% of the cost. How much has she saved?

4. Find 25% of 160.

5. The price of a music CD is $12. If the store raises the price to 125% of its current price, what will be the new price of the CD?

6. So far, the sixth grade class has sold 32 tickets to their play. The number represents 20% of the tickets that are available. How many tickets are available?

7. 98 is what percent of 56?

8. The Library of Congress has more than 5 million maps. Maps make up just 3.75% of the library's entire collection of items. How many items does the Library of Congress have?

9. Suppose you bought a $2.75 sandwich and two drinks of equal price. You spend $4.25 in all. How much does one drink cost?

10. Admission to a museum costs $3.75 per person. A group of friends attend. They spend a total of $30 on lunch. At the end of the day, they had spent a total of $56.25. How many friends attended the museum?

6th grade Homework Week: Jan 27th - Jan 31st

Dear 6th graders,

Here is your homework for this week. Remember tomorrow's homework is optional.
In order to go for the 5 extra points in the test you must turn in your homework before the first period. After this time, I will correct your work but you will not receive the 5 points.

Please make sure you read this post carefully so you don't get confused with the link you have to use for your assigned activity.

7th grade:

Here you will find the link for the quiz due this Friday January 17th. Please try to open the link as soon as possible, so if you have any problems I can email you the quiz directly. You have until Wednesday to email me regarding any possible issues, after that date I will not be able to help you. Remember:
- Write your name, grade, and date - It is the first thing you should do!
- 6th GRADE: Use a ruler to draw lines. You will be penalized with 1 point off for every line drawn without a ruler.
- If you cannot print the document, you may copy the instructions yourself.
- Your work must be CLEAN, NEAT, ORGANIZED! (you will be penalized for these criterias as well, 1 point off for each)
- Your quiz must be in Pili's office before 7:50AM on Friday. After that time, you will need a late pass along with your quiz in order for me to accept it. I understand that sometimes we forget things because we can be really busy, especially if you arrive late. But make sure you set yourself a reminder.
