6th grade project

Good afternoon 6th graders!

Here you will find the link for the questions of the project. Remember this is a make up work, so it is not mandatory. However, if you wish to get some extra points additional to what you already have, you must do the following:

On a paper:
- Heading: Date, subject, project, name, grade
- INSTRUCTIONS (no instructions = no grade)
- PROCESS (same as with instructions, no process = no grade)
- USE PENCIL
- If you wish to underline something, remember we use BLUE.
- You MUST have at least 10 exercises solved to be considered for evaluation.

7TH GRADE QUIZ

1) Triangle VQM has vertices V(-3,1), Q(0,0), and M(4,4). Name the coordinates of the vertices of triangle V'Q'M' after its reflection over the x axis. REMEMBER YOU NEED TO DRAW BOTH FIGURES IN THE COORDINATE PLANE

2)List all capital letters of the alphabet that have two or more lines of symmetry

3) Name the coordinates of point S(-5,2) after a reflection about the line that passes through (-1,4) and (-1,0)

4)How may lines of symmetry does a regular hexagon have?

5) Triangle BCD has vertices B(-3,1), C(-2,5), and D(-5,4). Graph triangle BCD and its image after a reflection over the y axis. Name the coordinates of the vertices B'C'D'.

6th and 7th grade important information

6th grade
Here is the homework for this week:
For Tuesday November 12th - Ex. 2 - 8 p.143
For Thursday November 14th - Ex. 1 - 8 p.150

Remember:
This Friday we will have a TEST on:
- Multiplying and dividing fractions and mixed numbers
- Changing units in the customary system

If there is any questions, feel free to come and see. Tomorrow (Tuesday November 12th) we will have reinforcement in NERUDA starting at 2:45pm


7th grade
You will not have homework this week since today you have workshops for "Semana por la vida" and on Thursday you are going away on a field trip (which by the way I hope you all enjoy :)

On Friday we will have a TEST on:
- Graphing in the coordinate plane
- Translation

Remember that for the test you will need:
- RULER (an additional pencil is NOT a ruler)
- Color pencils

There will be no sharing permitted so make sure you get this materials by Friday.

7th grade QUIZ

Dear 7th graders,

In the following link you will find the quiz for this Friday (November 8th). Remember you must turn it in before the first period (7:50am).

For each exercise you need to draw a coordinate plane (in total you will have to draw 3). Among the things I will be evaluating will be your ability to draw the coordinate plane as accurate and precise as possible.

If you have any trouble viewing the quiz, please email so I can send you the quiz directly. Do not leave it for Friday and then tell me that you could not do it.
