6th homework for Thursday October 4th, 2012

6th Graders:

Today we started working with the topic Prime Factorization. So far we have only covered prime and composite numbers, and factors. Remember that prime numbers are whole numbers with exactly two factors, one and itself; composite numbers are whole numbers that have more than two factors.

For the first question, research the definition of multiple so you can explain the difference.

Homework:
Ex. 1 - 7 p. 77

1) How is a factor different from a multiple?

2) Which numbers are factors of all even numbers?

3) What is the only even prime number?

Is the number prime or composite? Explain
4) 29                            5)28
6) 27                            7)26

Bonus point:
