Solve each equation. Show your work:

a)x + 7 = 18 - 2x

b) 2 + y = -7 + 2y

c) 2(c + 1) = c - 7

d) 5 = 3(4 - b) + 2

Define a variable and write an inequality to describe each situation. Graph the inequality.

a) Each driver must be at least 16 years old.

b) You can have no more than five passengers in a car.

c) There are at most 75 tickets to the play still available.

d) Your essay must be at least four pages long.
