7th grade make up work

Here is your make up work for this marking period. Remember that in order for you to achieve the full credit you need to:

Write and solve an equation for each problem.
1.) A mason is laying a brick foundation 72 in. wide. Each brick is 6in. wide. How many bricks will the mason need across the width of the foundation?
2. )You buy 12 apples. You also buy a box of cereal that cost $3.35. The bill is $8.75. How much does each apple cost?
Solve each equation:

Write and solve an inequality for each problem.
8) A ferry can safely transport at most 220 people. There are already 143 people aboard. How many more people can the ferry take aboard?
9) A sports drink cost $1.49 per bottle. At most how many bottles can you buy if you have $12?
10) Alex and his mother spent at least $130 while shopping for new clothes. Alex spent $52. How much money did his mother spent?
11) Describe the similarities and differences between solving inequalities and equations. Include examples.
